HOME - IN YOUR FACE

ANNA
My friend Anna, was the first person that I ever wanted to take more than one photo of. She was a weirdo, clowny chameleon and no matter what she wore, it either made me laugh or cringe. All of my Polaroids of her were taken in the very early 80s, and if it weren't for a little yellowing on the photo borders, they'd look as if I'd taken them yesterday.

Anna and I came up with the hideous character called Cuzin It, who we wanted to promote as a wrestler. We made up a fake bio that included details on her "famous" wrestling move called "The Avalanche". We never did anything with it beyond taking a few photos.

This was just a ridiculous look that she threw together and I thoughtt it would look great in the back of her apartment building that was blooming with roses.

TRACY
I met Tracy around 1985 and we have remained very close friends. We did a lot of Super8 psychodramas and video projects together and she was always available for us when we needed a "model" for my Public Access show called Trauma TV. She was and remains the perfect balance of glamour and camp.

Even on a camping trip, Tracy was always checking her lipstick.

This Coney Island shot of Tracy was taken in the early-90s during the years that I lived in NYC.
