TAXLO WEEKLY REMEMBERED

Last fall I was asked to shoot photos at TaxLo the weekly dance party at Sonar hosted by Simon D. Phoenix and Cullen Stalin. But the weekly party is no more.
Josh Sisk also shot for the club and his vibrant party-driven images made TaxLo look like it was the most happening spot in Baltimore–and some nights it was. Josh’s photographic style worked perfectly for the club. My style and interests included photographing people who weren’t necessarily in the throes of abandon. I sometimes felt that I wasn’t always capturing shots that the club wanted. Perhaps too many shots of people sitting and looking bored when they should have been in a dancing tailspin. But I got a lot of compliments from strangers and staff, so I just kept doing what I was doing.
Josh suggested to me that we post our favorite shots from the year that we both worked the party. So without too much serious analysis, here are my top three favorite shots.

Those hit me first and I could say the same thing about your choices..you had tons of killer shots.
